JOB SUMMARY:
Do you enjoy sales? Do you like the idea of combining sales and sports into one career? We are eager to add talented, idea-oriented, aggressive sales professionals to work within our departmentalized sales force and provide them with the most stimulating, rewarding and enjoyable career in minor league sports. Our sales techniques, tools, and philosophies are quite different from those of most sports franchises, and especially those of other minor league baseball teams. Innovative ticket and advertising amenities, strategic planning and non-discounting philosophies are a few of the ingredients that have made the Biscuits one of the most successful minor league baseball teams in the country!
Our Group Sales Representatives sell a full menu of Biscuits products to group clients such as schools, churches, boy/girl scouts, large associations and others. A successful Group Sales Representative must possess a strong desire to sell. This position features aggressive year-round selling; 90% via telephone with the oversight of a proprietary automated sales contact system. All group sales are done in cycles with detailed launch plans prior to each to analyze the universe and common needs, and the department uses a strategic analysis of sales reports to service dedicated clients. Unlike many sales positions, post-sale customer service is a crucial part of the job and is key to ensuring group and corporate clients have a successful event at Riverwalk Stadium and come back year after year. And, as mentioned above, the Biscuits do not discount tickets for any size group, so our sales professionals must be willing to adopt a non-discounting philosophy and be benefits-oriented.
Our Group Sales Representative position is a great spot for a candidate who is dedicated to pursuing a sales career in or out of sports, and who would thrive in learning proven sales strategies with a consultative sales approach. However, this position does require a strong commitment and a sound work ethic, as our sales representatives (like the rest of the Biscuits front office staff), must work most Biscuits home games (70 per year) in addition to regular office hours.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Strong communication skills a must
- Attention to detail and strategy
- Strong desire to learn the art of sales

Innovative ticket and advertising amenities, strategic planning and non-discounting philosophies are a few of the ingredients that have made the Lugnuts one of the most successful minor league baseball teams in the country!
We employ two types of sales representatives: Group Sales Representatives sell a full menu of Lugnuts products to group clients such as schools, churches, boy/girl scouts, large associations and others. And, as mentioned above, the Lugnuts do not discount tickets for any size group, so our sales professionals must be willing to adopt a non-discounting philosophy and be benefits-oriented.
